Our Approach

Luxury Roofing Systems We Install

Each premium system offers unique advantages in appearance, performance, and longevity. The right choice depends on your home’s architecture, structural capacity, and long-term goals. Here’s what we offer:

Composite / Synthetic Roofing

Engineered to replicate natural slate or cedar shake using advanced polymer materials. High impact ratings, lighter weight, and long manufacturer warranties a top choice for hail-prone North Texas.

Stone-Coated Steel Roofing

Combines the appearance of tile, shake, or shingles with the strength of galvanized steel. Interlocking panels resist uplift and offer Class 4 impact ratings with minimal maintenance.

Standing Seam Metal

Concealed fasteners, 40–70 year lifespan, and outstanding energy efficiency. Ideal for modern and farmhouse-style homes seeking sleek long-term performance.

Tile Roofing (Clay & Concrete)

Timeless architectural appeal seen on Mediterranean and Spanish-style homes. 50+ year life expectancy, superior sun resistance, and distinctive curb appeal for premium properties.

Impact-Resistant (Class 4) Shingles

Engineered asphalt shingles rated under UL 2218 to withstand hail strikes that damage standard products. The most practical upgrade for North Texas homes within the asphalt category.

Storm Damage Is Often Worse Than It Looks

Many hail impacts and wind failures aren’t visible from the ground. A thorough roof-level inspection with photo documentation is the only reliable way to know what you’re dealing with.

Act Quickly After a Storm

Exposed decking and compromised shingles allow moisture into insulation, framing, and drywall within days. The cost difference between acting promptly and waiting grows significantly with each subsequent rain event.

Why Choose Ryreson

Composite & Synthetic vs. Natural Materials

Modern engineered roofing systems often outperform their natural counterparts in durability and value. Here’s how they compare for DFW homeowners.

Recommended for DFW

Composite / Synthetic Systems (Brava, F-Wave)

Engineered to replicate natural materials using advanced polymers delivering premium aesthetics with significantly better impact resistance and lower maintenance requirements.

  • Realistic slate, cedar shake, or Spanish barrel tile appearance
  • Substantially lighter than natural slate no structural reinforcement required
  • Class 4 hail impact rating critical in North Texas
  • Resistant to cracking, splitting, rot, insects, and algae
  • 50-year manufacturer warranties (Brava, F-Wave REVIA®)
  • Wind resistance up to 130+ mph (F-Wave)
Traditional Options

Natural Slate, Clay Tile & Wood Shake

Classic premium materials with undeniable aesthetic prestige but carrying trade-offs in weight, fragility, maintenance, and cost that require careful evaluation for Texas conditions.

  • Exceptional longevity when properly maintained (50–100+ years)
  • Unmatched natural aesthetic character and depth
  • May require structural reinforcement due to significant weight
  • Clay tile performs well in Texas heat; vulnerable to freeze-thaw cracking
  • Wood shake requires treatment and ongoing maintenance in humid conditions
  • Higher installation and repair costs; fewer local repair specialists

Stone-coated steel

bridges both worlds, offering the appearance of tile or shake with Class A fire resistance, Class 4 hail ratings, and a lifespan of 40–70 years. It is an excellent choice for homeowners who want premium aesthetics without the structural weight or fragility concerns.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions homeowners most commonly ask before investing in a premium roofing system.

Natural slate is quarried stone — beautiful and extremely long-lasting, but very heavy, brittle, and expensive to repair. Composite slate (such as Brava or F-Wave) is engineered using recycled polymers to replicate the look of natural slate while being significantly lighter, more impact-resistant, and easier to install and repair. For most North Texas homes, composite slate provides equivalent aesthetics with better practical performance — especially given the hail exposure in the DFW area.

Heavier materials like clay tile, concrete tile, and natural slate require structural assessment before installation. Clay tile can weigh 600–1,000+ lbs per square, compared to 200–350 lbs for asphalt. We review your home’s framing and consult with a structural engineer when needed before recommending heavy systems. In many cases, composite or stone-coated steel alternatives provide comparable aesthetics without requiring structural modification.

Standing seam metal roofs typically last 40–70 years with minimal maintenance. The concealed fastener design eliminates exposed screws that can loosen or allow water infiltration over time — one of the key advantages over exposed-fastener metal panels. They also reflect solar heat effectively, which can reduce cooling costs in Texas summers. Most quality standing seam systems carry paint warranties of 40+ years.

In many cases, yes and that’s always our preference. We assess whether damaged sections can be repaired before recommending full replacement. Composite systems are generally repairable panel by panel. Standing seam metal can be repaired or sections replaced. Tile systems are often repairable by matching existing tile. The feasibility of repair depends on the extent of damage, the age of the system, and material availability. We will always give you an honest repair-first recommendation.

Class 4 is the highest impact rating under UL 2218 testing and is the standard we recommend for North Texas homes given the frequency of hailstorms in the DFW area. Most premium composite, stone-coated steel, and metal systems carry Class 4 ratings. Many homeowners insurance carriers also offer discounts for Class 4 rated roofing — ask your insurer about this before selecting materials, as it can meaningfully offset installation costs.

We serve Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, Trophy Club, Flower Mound, Coppell, Keller, and Roanoke as our primary service area. High-end and custom home projects in adjacent DFW communities are considered on a case-by-case basis — call to confirm your location.
